Tetracycline is an antibiotic which is used in treating several of the bacterial infections you might find in the dental practice.Often given in courses which require a dose every six hours on an empty stomach, at least 2 hours after a meal and 1 hour before eating again. This antibiotic has no significant effect on your patient’s ability to drive or operate machinery, but should not be taken by pregnant or breast feeding patients.

What happens if I miss a dose of Tetracycline?
You should take your dose as soon as you remember, do not double dose if it’s almost time for your next scheduled dose.
Can I take supplements alongside Tetracycline?
For two hours before and after taking Tetracycline you should avoid all vitamin supplements, including ron supplements, multivitamins, calcium supplements. You should also avoid antacids, and laxatives. Please refer to the product information leaflet for full details.
